Program Expectations: Physical & Mental Health

The health and safety of our students during a study away experience is a primary concern for our office and for a successful study away experience. Please review the below program expectations to understand each program's requirements and expectations for participation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the health or physical requirements for participation in a program, please bring your concerns one or more of the following resources: Study Away, a health professional who knows you well, your program director, and/or Furman's Student Office for Accessibility Resources (SOAR).

If you would like to apply any physical or academic accommodations to your study away program, please notify SOAR of any accessibility requests by the following deadlines:

MayX - request accommodations by January 31
Fall Semester - request accommodations by April 1
Spring Semester - request accommodations by September 1
